Woven

Told through original song and story by the Women of AustraNesia, Woven seeks to capture the essence of what is most powerful and enduring about the nature of woman.

Six entwined stories of joy, sadness, hardship, resilience and hope will weave a timeless tapestry of what it is to be a woman, be they daughters, sisters, mothers, aunties, matriarchs or part of the powerful force that is the collective womanhood. Celebrating and elevating the audience, both men and women, to a new sense of appreciation for the women who have positively impacted their lives.

Both musically uplifting and visually powerful, the performance itself will weave a significant piece of woven art throughout the words and notes of music, revealed in stages, and ultimately becoming a physical representation of the empowerment of women.

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Cairns Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
